AskALibrarian! allows you to chat or IM with a librarian about your reference questions; or, e-mail your questions and receive a response from a librarian. You can also Book a Librarian to make an appointment with a librarian for intensive individual research assistance.
The library at Post offers Palmer students many resources and services. Most LIS journals are available electronically; however, if you need a journal that is only in print format at the Post library, you can use this Digital Delivery Request Form to have copies sent to you. If you are at the Post library, circulating books are housed in open stacks. Use the library catalog to find books or journals in electronic and print formats. Palmer dissertations are cataloged and housed in closed stacks. To request one of these dissertations use the Dissertation Retrieval Form. You can also check if a Palmer dissertation was submitted by the author for digital availability in the database Dissertations & Theses @ Long Island University. Reference help is available in person at the reference desk, or electronically through our AskALibrarian! service.
Articles and books from other libraries can be obtained through interlibrary loan.
Please send your requests for articles to post-interlibraryloan@liu.edu. We won't be able to fill
interlibrary loan requests for physical items.
