Digital Initiatives and Art Image Library
Established in 2003, the mission of the department is to explore, develop and implement digital projects that will convert the University’s signature collections and academic resources into digital collections with permanent research value. Our mission takes into consideration the primary goals for digitalization activities according to a survey conducted by the Institute of Museums and Library Services (IMLS). It is designed to minimize damage to original materials, preserve important resources, increase access to materials via the Web and heighten interest in the institution.
