Finding Theses and Dissertations Written at LIU Post: Home

Types of Theses

Three kinds of theses have been written by students at LIU Post: doctoral dissertations, masters' theses, and undergraduate Honors College theses.

The older theses tend to be in paper form or microfilm, the newer, in digital form, and a few exist in more than one form.

The library has many but not all of the doctoral dissertations and masters' theses which are in paper, and can provide you with access to the digital ones.  See the three boxes below for more information.

Finding Doctoral Dissertations

Those doctoral dissertations which are owned by the library in paper form or on microfilm are listed in its catalog and can be found through the library's home page in the search box under the tab, "Find Books And More."

You can search for any particular dissertation by its author, its title, and its subjects, just as if it were any other book the library owns.

However, if you are looking for a list of all the LIU dissertations contained in the library's catalog, search under "Long Island University [followed by the relevant department, school, or college] " as if LIU were the author.

Those doctoral dissertations which have been submitted in digital form to Proquest can be found in the database called Dissertations & Theses @ LIU.  To get to this database, click on:
