Government Documents in the Library

The B. Davis Schwartz Memorial Library is a congressionally designated depository for U.S. Government documents. Public access to the government documents collection is guaranteed by public law (Title 44 United States Code). In 2009, the library began to transition its extensive print and microform government documents collection to an online collection in order to better serve its constituents. This guide is meant to serve as a gateway for finding government documents online.  No library guide can possibly list all that the U.S. or state governments have to offer online.  The resources are vast and hopefully the links within this guide will provide direction for your information needs.

The library maintains copies of essential government documents in print.  They can be found on the Reference book shelves on the Main level of the library. When an essential title is also available online the link has been provided.  If you need assistance in locating government information please ask a librarian for help. Additional government document resources can be found on the "Electronic Library for Government Information."
