Citing Books

Basic Format for Book

Author. (Year of publication). Title of work: subtitle. Location: Publisher.

√ Italicize title of work

√ List city and state (use postal abbreviation for state) or city and country for location

 Wolfberg, P. (2009). Play and imagination in children with autism. New York, NY: Teachers College Press.

 Benner, P. (2001). From novice to expert: Excellence and power in clinical nursing practice (2nd ed.). Upper Saddle River, NJ: Prentice Hall Press.



Two or More Authors

√ Use ampersand before last author

√ Use commas to separate authors

√ Capitalize first letter of title and subtitle

Edited Book One or More Editors
